Ordering & Payment
Order directly on the site, or send us the piece you want on WhatsApp and we'll raise it for you. Both go into the same workshop queue.
For custom sizes, finishes, or more than five pieces, WhatsApp is faster — we'll quote and confirm the specification before you pay.
UPI, credit and debit cards, net banking and wallets at checkout. EMI is available on eligible cards for orders above [EMI minimum order value].
All prices are inclusive of applicable GST.
We offer partial COD: a small advance online to confirm the order, and the balance in cash when it's delivered.
Because every mirror is cut and finished for a specific order, the advance covers materials — it's what lets us start work rather than hold your piece in a queue. We take a 50% advance online on partial-COD orders; a small additional charge applies to partial-COD.
Yes. Add your GSTIN and registered business name in the order notes at checkout, or send them to us on WhatsApp before dispatch, and we'll raise the invoice against it. Invoices can't be reissued with a GSTIN after dispatch, so tell us early.
Yes, as long as we haven't cut glass for it. Message us within 24 hours of ordering and we'll amend or cancel with a full refund.
Once a piece is in production it can't be cancelled — a mirror cut to one set of dimensions can't be sold to anyone else. Custom orders enter production as soon as you approve the specification, so speak up quickly.
Mirrors & Materials
In our own facility in Delhi — cut, finished, assembled and quality-checked in-house. We don't import finished mirrors and rebrand them. When we say made, not sourced, we mean it literally: the piece that arrives at your door was built by our team from raw glass and materials.
We use 5 mm Saint-Gobain and Modiguard mirror glass, sealed against moisture to resist the black-edge desilvering that ruins cheaper mirrors over time. The result is a true, colour-accurate reflection — most obvious in daylight, and next to a wall of natural light.
Each collection lists its standard sizes on the product page. Beyond those, almost anything can be made to your dimensions — see Custom Orders. Edge and frame finishes vary by collection; arch, round and rectangular silhouettes are our most requested forms.
Mirror glass has real weight, so larger pieces should be mounted into a stud or with appropriate wall anchors rather than plasterboard alone. Each product page lists the approximate weight and dimensions.
If you're unsure about your wall, send us the size you're considering and we'll advise before you order.
Lighting
Our lit mirrors let you shift the light's temperature from a warm, candle-like glow to a crisp daylight white, and anything between.
| Setting | Best for |
|---|---|
| Warm | Bedrooms, dressing areas, evening |
| Neutral | Everyday use |
| Cool | Grooming, makeup, accurate colour |
You can preview the full range on the product page before you buy.
Lit models are dimmable across their full range, and selected models include an integrated anti-fog demister pad that keeps the reflective surface clear after a hot shower. Check the specification list on each product page to confirm which features that model includes.
Do you need a demister? Worth it in a small or poorly ventilated bathroom. It does nothing for a bedroom, hallway or dressing mirror.
Lit mirrors run on low-voltage LED and are designed for a concealed connection to a standard point behind the mirror. We recommend a qualified electrician for the final connection, especially in a bathroom.
If you're mid-renovation, plan the point before you tile — it's the one thing that's expensive to fix later. Wiring guidance is in the box, and we'll share it in advance if you ask.
Custom Orders
Yes — bespoke work is part of what we do. Because everything is made in-house, we can build to your dimensions, adjust proportions, or adapt a finish. Send your requirement through the enquiry form or on WhatsApp and we'll confirm feasibility, price and lead time before anything is committed.
Always. Before we cut anything, you'll get a written confirmation of dimensions, finish, lighting options and price. Production only starts once you've approved that specification and paid the advance — so there are no surprises when the piece arrives.
Custom and made-to-order pieces are paid 100% in advance to begin production. Pricing is inclusive of applicable GST, and you'll receive a formal quotation confirming the specification, amount and timeline before you pay.
Shipping & Delivery
Across India, through couriers who handle fragile freight. Everything leaves our Delhi facility. Standard pieces dispatch within a few working days; custom pieces dispatch once production is complete.
| Destination | After dispatch |
|---|---|
| Delhi NCR | 3–5 days |
| Metro cities | 5–7 days |
| Rest of India | 7–10 days |
A small number of remote pin codes may need extra transit time, or may not be serviceable — if yours isn't, we'll contact you to arrange an alternative or a full refund. We don't ship internationally; for export enquiries, write to info@theartessa.com.
Shipping is calculated at checkout from the size and weight of your piece and your delivery pin code, so you see it before you pay. Free shipping applies on orders above [free shipping threshold]. Remote pin codes may attract a surcharge, also shown at checkout.
Glass is fragile, so we pack for it seriously — corner protection, cushioned layers, and a rigid outer crate sized to the piece. Breakage in transit is rare, and if it happens we make it right.
When it arrives: inspect the outer box before you sign for it. If it looks crushed or punctured, photograph it before opening.
Once your order is dispatched, you'll get a tracking link on WhatsApp and email so you can follow it to your door.
Courier tracking can take up to 24 hours to go live after dispatch. If it hasn't updated in 48 hours, write to us and we'll chase it.
Installation
We don't send an installer. Most mirrors are designed for straightforward wall-mounting with the fixings provided, and a handyman or electrician can put one up in under an hour. For large or lit pieces, we recommend professional mounting.
For trade and project orders, installation can be advised on as part of the engagement — talk to the trade desk.
- The mirror, packed and protected
- Wall mounting hardware — bracket or cleat, screws and plugs
- Installation and wiring guidance
- Warranty card
Yes, but the supplied plugs are for masonry. On plasterboard, use toggle or anchor fixings rated for the mirror's weight and fix into a stud where you can. Tell us your wall type when you order and we'll flag anything to watch for.
Care & Warranty
Wipe with a soft, lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water or a mild glass cleaner sprayed onto the cloth — never directly onto the mirror, so liquid can't seep to the edges.
- Avoid abrasive pads and ammonia-heavy cleaners
- Wipe away standing water at the bottom edge
Black spotting at a mirror's edges is almost always liquid getting behind the glass. Treated well, a well-made mirror stays clear for decades.
We warranty the electrical components of our lit mirrors — LED lighting, drivers, sensors, and switches — against genuine manufacturing defects for 12 months from delivery, under normal domestic use.
The warranty does not extend to the mirror, frame, or finish, and does not cover damage from mishandling, improper installation or wiring, moisture ingress from cleaning against our guidance, or normal wear.
Write to us with your order number and a couple of clear photos. We'll assess it quickly and, where a manufacturing fault is confirmed, arrange a repair or replacement. The faster you reach out after noticing an issue, the faster we can resolve it.
Returns & Refunds
This is covered. Report it within 48 hours of delivery and don't discard the box. Send us:
- Photos of the packaging, including any crush or puncture marks
- Photos of the damage to the piece
- Your order number
We'll arrange a repair, replacement or refund. Unbox and inspect the day it arrives, even if you're installing later — the 48-hour window is what lets us claim against the courier.
Because every mirror is cut and finished for a specific order, we don't offer change-of-mind returns.
If a piece arrives damaged or has a genuine manufacturing defect, we'll put it right — we repair or replace it and arrange the return freight ourselves. Just message us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and your order details. Nothing here limits the rights you're entitled to under the Consumer Protection Act. Full terms: Refunds & Cancellations.
Approved refunds go back to your original payment method. Once a return is received and inspected, or a transit-damage claim confirmed, we initiate the refund within [business days]; how quickly it lands depends on your bank or payment provider.
Trade & Projects
Yes — interior designers, architects, hospitality and developers are a core part of our business. Because we manufacture in-house, we can hold specification, match a batch across a project, and build to brief. The trade programme includes tiered pricing that improves with volume.
Apply through the Trade page with a little about your studio or project, or write to info@theartessa.com. Once you're set up, you'll see trade pricing and can request project quotations. Rates are quoted per square foot, ex-GST, and step down with volume.
Yes. One or two sample units, charged at the standard trade rate and adjusted against the bulk order value when you confirm.
- Quotation issued within 48 hours of your brief
- Order confirmed on specification approval plus 100% advance
- Balance before dispatch
- Quality check report with each bulk shipment
- Transit damage replaced free, on photographs within 48 hours of delivery
- GST invoicing against your registered GSTIN
We do — hand-worked Venetian pieces, and the Heritage collection — pieces like Veneziana, Palazzo and Serenissima. These are slow, specialist commissions handled by a senior member of the team from first enquiry through to installation, not by a form. Write to info@theartessa.com with your project and we'll set up a call.
