About these terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Artessa website and your purchase of our products. By browsing the site, placing an order, or accepting a quotation, you agree to these Terms.
They should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Refunds & Cancellations Policy, which form part of this agreement. If you don't agree with these Terms, please don't use the site or place an order.
Who we are
Artessa is a brand of VENETIAN IMAGE PVT. LTD., a company registered in India with its registered office at Delhi and GSTIN [GSTIN]. We design and manufacture mirrors and lighting in-house and sell to individual and trade customers.
In these Terms, "Artessa", "we", "us", and "our" mean the entity above; "you" and "your" mean the person browsing the site or placing an order.
Using our site
- You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to place an order.
- If you create an account, you're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account.
- You agree to give accurate, current, and complete information when you order — including your correct delivery address and contact details.
- We may suspend or withdraw access to the site, in whole or part, without notice, for maintenance or other legitimate reasons.
Our products
Everything Artessa sells is made — not sourced. Most pieces are made to order in our own workshop, which is central to how these Terms work.
- Handcrafted variation. Because our pieces are made by hand, slight variations in finish, grain, tone, and dimensions are natural characteristics of the product, not defects.
- Colour & finish. We photograph our products carefully, but screens differ. Colours, brass tones, and the appearance of tunable-white lighting may vary slightly from what you see online.
- Dimensions. Stated sizes are nominal and subject to reasonable manufacturing tolerances.
- Availability. Listing a product doesn't guarantee availability. We may update, limit, or discontinue products at any time.
Orders & acceptance
When you place an order or accept a quotation, you're making an offer to buy. Your order is accepted — and a contract is formed — only when we confirm it in writing or begin production, whichever is earlier.
We may decline or cancel an order before acceptance for legitimate reasons, including where a product is unavailable, where we identify a pricing or description error, or where we suspect fraud or misuse. If we cancel an order you've already paid for, we'll refund the amount paid for that order.
Custom & bespoke work
For custom sizes, finishes, or commissioned pieces, additional terms apply:
- Approval. We'll confirm specifications — dimensions, finish, and any customisation — with you before production begins. It's your responsibility to check these carefully; we make to the approved specification.
- Advance payment. Custom and trade orders typically require an advance to begin production, with the balance due before dispatch, as set out in your quotation (typically 50% advance, balance before dispatch).
- Cancellation. Once a custom or made-to-order piece has entered production, it cannot be cancelled, changed, or returned for a change of mind, because it's made specifically for you.
Prices & payment
- Currency. All prices are in Indian Rupees (₹).
- Taxes. Prices are inclusive of GST as indicated at checkout or on your quotation. A valid GST invoice is issued for every order.
- Payment methods. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout, processed securely by our payment partners. We don't store your full card or banking details.
- When payment is due. Standard orders are payable in full at checkout. Custom and trade orders follow the advance-and-balance schedule in your quotation.
- Shipping & other charges. Any delivery, installation, or other charges are shown before you confirm your order.
Delivery & installation
- Timelines. Delivery and production timelines shown at checkout or in your quotation are good-faith estimates, not guarantees, since made-to-order production and courier transit can vary.
- Dispatch & tracking. We deliver through partners such as Delhivery, Blue Dart, and DTDC, and share tracking once your order is dispatched.
- Risk & inspection. Please inspect your package on delivery. If it arrives visibly damaged, note it with the courier where possible and report it to us as set out in our Refunds & Cancellations Policy.
- Access & installation. Where installation is offered, it's your responsibility to ensure safe access and a suitable installation site. Additional charges may apply for wall types or access needs beyond the standard scope.
- Failed delivery. If delivery fails because of incorrect address details or repeated unavailability, re-delivery charges may apply.
Cancellations & refunds
Cancellations, returns, and refunds are governed by our Refunds & Cancellations Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In short:
- Because our pieces are made to order, we don't offer refunds or returns for a change of mind once production has begun.
- If an item arrives damaged, defective, or is not what you ordered, we'll put it right — by repair, replacement, or store credit — as set out in that policy.
Warranty
We stand behind our work. Our warranty covers the electrical components of our products — such as LED lighting, drivers, sensors, and switches — against manufacturing defects for 12 months from the date of delivery, under normal domestic use.
The warranty applies to electrical components only. It does not extend to the mirror, frame, or finish, and does not cover ordinary wear, accidental or improper handling, incorrect installation by third parties, exposure to unsuitable conditions (such as excessive moisture for a product not rated for it), or the natural handcrafted variations described in section 4. To make a claim, contact us with your order details and photographs.
Trade & wholesale
Purchases by interior designers, architects, hospitality, and other trade partners may be governed by a separate trade agreement, rate card, or quotation, which prevails over these Terms where they conflict. Trade pricing, credit terms, and account eligibility are offered at our discretion and subject to verification. See our Trade portal for details.
Intellectual property
The Artessa name, logo, product designs, photography, text, and all other content on our site are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. You may view and share content for personal, non-commercial use, but you may not copy, reproduce, resell, or use our designs, images, or branding for commercial purposes without our written permission.
Reviews & submissions
If you submit a review, photo, comment, or other content to us or about our products, you confirm it's your own and doesn't infringe anyone's rights. You grant Artessa a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and share that content in connection with our brand and marketing, with attribution where appropriate.
We may moderate, edit for length, or remove content that is unlawful, misleading, offensive, or not genuine.
Acceptable use
When using our site, you agree not to:
- use it for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, or interfere with the site's operation or security;
- place orders you don't intend to honour, or use another person's payment details without authority;
- scrape, copy, or reproduce our content or systems except as ordinary browsing allows.
Liability
We take care to describe and make our products accurately, and to run the site reliably. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order;
- we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Artessa against reasonable losses, claims, and costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the site, or your infringement of any third party's rights through content you submit to us.
Circumstances beyond control
We're not responsible for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control — including natural events, fire, strikes, supply-chain or courier disruption, power or network failures, or government action. Where such an event affects your order, we'll let you know and work with you on a reasonable resolution, including rescheduling or, where appropriate, a refund.
Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to your statutory consumer rights — which you may exercise wherever the law allows — the courts at Delhi will have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms.
Grievance redressal
In line with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, we've appointed a Grievance Officer to receive and resolve your complaints. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and resolve them within one month of receipt.
Changes & contact
We may update these Terms from time to time as our practices or the law change. The version in force is the one published here, dated at the top. Orders are governed by the Terms in effect when you place them.
